Do you want to learn to drive with
an Experienced qualified driving
instructor or a Inexperienced
trainee ?
Qualified instructor-
A instructor who has gone through all of his/her training , passed allthe qualifying exams and is displaying the DSA green badge on their windscreen.
Trainee instructor-
A instructor who has completed most of their training but has either failed their last exam or is waiting for a test. While they are using YOU AND YOUR MONEY to complete their
training to gain some practise to help them towards qualification. They will be displaying the pink trainee licence.
You will find trainee's in most of the larger driving schools and also some of the smaller schools which use them as a easy way to increase the size of their schools so they can
make more money.
If a trainee fails their test for a third time or runs out of time on their short licence then they have to stop teaching instantly so you couldend up swapping your instructor
Danger !!
There is also a increasing amount of fake driving instructors out there who are pretending to be driving instructors they will put you in danger they wont be trained they will not have suitable insurance always ask to see their badge if its not in the windscreen. By law we have to always display our badge at all times when we are teaching. Also look for the dsa watermark in the badge itself. If you know one of these report them to the police they will be only to glad to deal with them .
